A low pressure system is forecast to develop east of Bass Strait on Friday morning, bringing winds of an average 65km/h with it.
Winds may peak at up to 100km/h, with heavy rain expected to intensify on Friday evening.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
– Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
– Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
– Keep clear of fallen power lines.
