Taking on the Bega/Angledale Bulls in Bega, Eden shut down the home side early and edged out their score to win on first innings points.
Inclement weather threatened the final, which would have seen the Bulls win on ladder standing.
However, as skies cleared and the match got underway on Saturday, Bulls captain Dave Allen said Eden would start as “warm favourites”.
Allen top-scored for the Bulls with his defensive stand of 24 runs.
However, Bega /Angledale was all-out for 71 only hours later.
In reply, Eden was able to score 87 runs to claim the premiership on first innings points.
With a second innings to play, the Bulls made a stand for the outright win.
However, Eden defended strongly and the inconclusive second innings saw the visitors take the win.
Allen said Eden’s fast bowlers proved too strong on the day.
“Eden has the four fast bowlers and over the past few years the dominance has been with fast bowlers,” Allen said.
In the semi finals, Bega/Angledale’s Robbie Ringland had made 118 and the team was looking to him again.
However, Eden’s dominance showed early as Ringland was bowled lbw by Matt Bell for a duck.
Allen was caught by captain Reece Wheeler for 24.
Meanwhile, Bega’s other opener Sean Lambert was clean bowled by Tyrone Thomas for four.
With the two openers dismissed, thing went awry for the home side quickly.
Sam Hodder opened well with a driving four, but was soon dismissed - again by Bell - for 14 runs.
Kel Evans scored three runs and Cody Hazelgrove-Danvers made a solid stand of 15.
However, he quickly ran out of batting partners as the Bulls innings crumbled.
Six ducks saw the Bega/Angledale line-up topple quickly for 71 runs.
Tyrone Thomas decimated the Bega/Angledale line-up with the ball in hand.
Thomas claimed five wickets for just five runs, and bowled six maiden overs.
Meanwhile, Bell claimed four wickets for 35 runs.
However, Eden’s innings started the way Bega/Angledale hoped it would.
Openers Drew Mudaliar and Andrew Evelyn were both out for just three runs between them.
It didn’t phase the team though, with a small target to chase.
Mark Spink top scored for Eden with 25, while son Corey was dismissed for eight.
Bell scored five, while Wheeler added eight to the total.
Eden was dropping steady wickets, but was also driving the total up.
Thomas made a low-order stand of 16 runs to see Eden reach 87 runs.
Bega’s young leg-spinner Jack Allen led the attack with four wickets.
Wayne Dunham claimed three wickets and Sean Lambert took two.
