The women, and a few brave gentleman, enjoyed a round of bowls and lunch to commemorate the occasion, and also spelled out the number 50 with bowls on the green.
Club president Marcelle Cavanough said it was a huge celebration and she was delighted to see so many old faces on hand to mark the event.
"I've been bowling for about 10 years, but we do have one lady who is still a member and has been with us for 39 years," Cavanough said.
"We have a lot of retired bowlers from over the years that are coming later today for the [50th anniversary] lunch."
She said the club had plenty of members who enjoy the game just to be active, but the relationships blossoming from it is what kept her coming back.
"They come to play bowls, but it's not just bowls, it's also the friendship," she said.
"Everyone's there if you need any help, they're always the first ones to help you.
"It's just a very close-knit group of people.
"A lot of my closest friends are members of the club."
Meanwhile, club secretary Maureen Hadley said the occasion marked a big day in the town's history.
"It's a big day for us, and for Eden," Hadley said.
Hadley echoed Cavanough's sentiment, saying most of the members enjoyed the camaraderie as much as the game.
"Most of our ladies come for the friendship, and they also enjoy the bowls."
Hadley said she looked forward to talking about the history to everyone after the official lunch.
"After the lunch, we'll just sit around and have a bit of a chat and a catch-up," she said.
"There's also a bit of a photo display [in the auditorium] that the ladies can have a look at."
Hadley said the museum had expressed interest in the historical items from the club that she had found during her research on the club from its 50 years since 1964.
"They've asked me at the museum to pass it all on once I've finished with it," she said.
In the meantime, Cavanough said with the formalities out of the way, it was back to business for the club, with competition starting soon.
"Our penants start next week, and our inter-club competition against all the clubs in the district starts next week too," Cavanough said.
The women compete with players from seven other clubs in the district for the inter-club title each year, while Penant bowls carry on to a zone and state level.
Club members have already been busy practicing for the competition and are now looking forward to the start of the season.
Cavanough said the launch of the competition would see members busily bowling at the club for a while.
"That will keep us busy for the next two months," she said.
