Could there be a better market offer on the Australia Day long weekend?
Loads of cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, beetroot, leeks, kale, onions, stone fruit, garlic, early apples, zucchinis and beans will spill from the community produce stall.
Organiser Karen Lott says: “The hall will heave with spectacular fare from the thirty or so producers who make the market the local food fest it’s become.”
Among them will be Towamba Olives, Rocky Hall wine, Tilba cheese, Wild Rye bread, locally raised organic beef and lamb, local honey, hazelnuts, eggs, oysters, delicious home baking, Ena’s famous pickles and outside, seedlings for grow-your-owners and the wherewithal to make them grow.
The mid-morning cooking demo will celebrate Australia Day.
The gorgeous Nethercote valley will rock to Easy Street’s mellow music and on sale will be the best coffee and cake ever (so say the organisers!) plus a great barbecue breakfast, all in the prettiest locality on the far south coast.
The market on Saturday, January 25, opens at 8am and finishes around 12noon. It is located on the corner of Back Creek and Nethercote Roads, Nethercote, a picturesque, 10 minute drive from Eden.
