In a replay of the one-day final Eden will again clash with Tathra for the T20 showdown after both teams slammed home on Saturday.
Eden took to the road for a double header at Bega and weren’t holding back with the finals race on the line.
In a batting performance the English Ashes team could have used, Eden smacked more than 200 runs to shut Bega/Angledale out of the running.
The boys in red followed up the effort with a 182 run knock against South Eurobodalla.
Eden’s top five hitters were in fine form as they took to George Griffin Oval to first play against Bega/Angledale.
Captain Drew Mudaliar drove plenty of balls to the fence on his way to 44, while fellow opener Dylan Wheeler had the bowlers pegged as he smacked 46.
Andrew Evelyn was well on his way before being run out by Cody Hazelgrove-Danvers for 30.
Eden young gun Corey Spink stepped in and added 25 to the total before handing over the reigns to dad, Mark.
With the overs winding down Mark had big plans and proceeded to smash a series of sixes from the final over and pushed Eden over the line to a 201 run score.
Brad Moon was the Bega/Angledale bowler who was taking names on the day with his two wickets.
Meanwhile, Eden settled in to its game plan of restricting the batsmen from big runs and taking steady wickets.
Corey Spink was pivotal on the day with an impressive display of bowling that kept Bega/Angledale in check.
Wickets fell steadily and Bega wasn’t adding piles of runs to the chase, Dave Allen top scored for the home team with his 26.
However it wasn’t enough as Bega/Angledale finished the innings for 122, well short of the target.
Corey claimed four wickets in his domination of the batsment, while Zac Slater claimed two.
With the theme set for the day the Reds crossed the road to the Athletics field for the second game against the South Eurobodalla Pirates.
Eden took to the crease first again, but things looked shaky early.
Mudaliar was picked up for six and Reece Wheeler was done in on three.
Mark again stepped up to the task and was swinging away as he built up 66 runs before being caught off the bowling of Dean Friskin.
Tensions flared between players from the opposing teams, but the situation was dealt with quickly and the attention returned to the pitch.
Eden deployed some cunning tactics and sent in opener Dylan at the low order.
Dylan didn’t disappoint as he set about cleaning up the runs scoring 46 and Andrew Evelyn added 20 to round out the innings for Eden to finish with 182.
The Pirates were left shaken, but not stirred and took to the crease hoping to chase down the total.
It was not to be though as wickets fell steadily again with no one reaching 20.
Corey continued his excellent display with three more wickets, while Bowes secured two.
The Pirates were all-out for 92 leaving Eden to claim the honours and a berth in the final.
Eden now faces competition front-runners Tathra in a replay of the one-day final.
The main event starts at 3pm.
