John Reid of the ANU School of Art officially launched the collection, while Council’s Karen Cash and Ian Sellers of the Delegate Progress Association also addressed the gathering.
Around 40 guests then admired ‘Gulaga to Balawan’, which features nine artists who work with a range of different mediums from ceramics to woodwork.
These artists live between the two mountains of Gulaga (Mt Dromedary) and Balawan (Mt Imlay), which have strong significance for local Aboriginal communities.
The exhibition is now open to visitors, and all are welcome to come and enjoy viewing the paintings, didgeridoos and ceramic and timber sculptures on display. The Bundian Way Gallery is open Monday,
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays, 10am-4pm at the Delegate Rural Transaction Centre.
