After his original set proved popular at the Wolumla Town Hall in October, Bloomfield has decided to do it all again.
Two shows will be held at Twyford Hall, Merimbula, on December 21.
Bloomfield, 23, said he was excited to relive some of Cash’s best tunes for local music lovers.
“It went quite well with the Wolumla gig and we want to continue that momentum,” he said.
“Unfortunately, the last gig was on the same night as the footy [NRL] grand final.
“But we still did well, around 120 people came along.”
On October 6, Bloomfield was joined on stage by Garry Carson Jones (vocals/guitar), Steve Clark (bass) and John Fraser (drums). Samantha Seymour will join forces with the band to ensure a Country Music event not to be missed
Bloomfield said the most popular songs were cover versions of Folsom Prison Blues, Boy Named Sue, Ghost Riders in the Sky, Jackson and I Walk The Line.
According to Bloomfield, the band also covered any songs that Cash was associated with, such as The Highwaymen.
“We also covered The Gambler, Willie Nelson’s Always On My Mind and Highway Man,” Bloomfield said.
“The next show should do pretty well - there is definitely a market for Johnny Cash here.”
Bloomfield is planning to expand his Johnny Cash show in 2014.
Joined by his trusty band, Bloomfield will record seven cover songs in Sydney and head out on tour next July.
Pre-sale albums will be available at his Merimbula show.
