The body of a man found floating off Quondola Point, just north of Eden on the Far South Coast yesterday is still unidentified, and is being investigated by Bega Police Detectives.
Sergeant Stephen Judd, Eden Water Police said “the matter is being investigated by Bega Detectives” and declined to comment further.
Inspector Jason Edmunds of Bega Police, confirmed that the matter “is being invested by Bega Detectives,” and that they were “currently looking at several lines of enquiry”.
It is understood the discovery was made at the same time as the drowning at Tathra, which meant that Bega Police were occupied and not involved in the incident at Eden.
Inspector Edmunds did not know who initially located the body in the water, and stated that they were currently “working through the process of having the body identified.”
