Stealing from Mary Mackillop hall

Offenders gained access to Mary MacKillop Hall between 3pm on Thursday July 19 and 9am on Saturday, July 21 and stole three fire extinguishers.

Police would like the fire extinguishers returned.

Vandals strike

Vandals attacked a non-government organisation in Eden between 5pm Friday July, 20 and 8.30am Monday, July 23.

They smashed an outdoor sculpture, broke a water connection and threw paint on an external wall.

Police are continuing investigations.

Truck roll over

A log truck rollover occurred on Imlay Road on Tuesday, July 22.

No-one was injured when the accident occurred 25km west of the Princess Highway.

Four times over

Merimbula Police have reported a general rise in drink driving offences including a series of incidents in the past week.

At 4.35pm on Sunday, July 22, a 42-year-old Pambula woman was stopped in Wyeebo Street, Merimbula after being seen by members of the public to be driving erratically.

A blood alcohol reading registered 0.223 on the scale.

A 37-year-old South Pambula woman was found drink driving near Wyndham just after midnight on Saturday, July 21 with a blood alcohol level of 0.12.

She is alleged to have told police as there were no other cars on the road “why pick on me.”

A Tura Beach man was stopped by police driving his golf cart home, without lights.

A blood alcohol reading registered 0.14. The offence took place on Saturday, July 21 in the evening.

All offenders had their licences suspended and will appear in Bega court next month.
