Tathra Garden Scape proprietor Craig Waugh laughed over a different kind of smoko on Wednesday morning.
The scones and jam were put on by the Eden CWA ladies to say ‘ta’ for the hard efforts of Craig’s team in transforming the Imlay Street median strip.
The $65,000 stage one of the Action on Imlay beautification project still requires planting out by the Whale Festival weekend in November (4-5), but the difference is already transforming.
CWA vice president Monica Wood was delighted.
“We are naturally overwhelmed that it’s come to fruition that’s for sure.
“It’s wonderful when you can push for something successfully.”
Monica added that beautification of the northern entrance to Eden was their next target. Given the Eden CWA’s success on this project, nothing would surprise.
