Long running negotiations over the Hotel Australasia have been whittled down to just two parties with a sale expected in the near future.
Eden realtor Glenn Brunette, who is acting for Wagga broker and licencee Nick Tinning, said the parties interest in the 104-year-old pub included the licences
and buildings.
“What’s being offered is the property as a whole,” he said.
“We are still in negotiation but we have two buyers interested in it and at this stage we’ll see a sale in the foreseeable future, maybe we’ll see one in the next
few weeks.”
An auction on March 23 this year saw the deceased estate first offered as a whole with liquor licence and 15 saleable poker machine entitlements then as a building
stripped of its entitlements.
It was passed in as a going concern and negotiations have continued since then.
“It has been a difficult negotiation to this point. There’s been a lot of external factors that have influenced the process,” Mr Brunette said.
