Blog live to win NRL grand final tickets

Group 16 and the Eden Magnet are giving football fans the opportunity to win tickets to this year’s NRL grand final just by blogging at any local rugby league game.

Each weekend, the best posts on our regular Group 16 live blog, as chosen by the editors at each newspaper in the Group 16 area, will go into the draw for a double pass to the local grand final, to be held in Bega on the weekend of September 15-16.

Each newspaper will have a double pass to the Group 16 grand final to give away.

As well as that great local prize, all regular bloggers will go into the draw for a fantastic prize of two tickets to the NRL Telstra Premiership 2012 Grand Final in Sydney on September 30.

“We are looking for the most insightful, clever, quirky or poignant comments on the weekend Group 16 games from our loyal, local footy fans,” Bega District News editor Ben Smyth said.

“And while we’re opening up the NRL Grand Final prize to all bloggers posting comments, I’m looking for those keen to update followers about the on-field action on a regular basis.

“With three rounds to go and then four weekends of finals action, there is plenty of scope to get involved.

“Special thanks must go Group 16 for sourcing such an incredible prize local fans are sure to be clamouring for,” Mr Smyth said. Commenting on the Group 16 live blog is easy – with two ways of joining in the conversation. Each weekend, simply log onto the Eden Magnet website, www.edenmagnet.com.au, follow the links to the Group 16 blog and post your commentary directly to it.

This can even be done from a smart phone if you’re on the sidelines. Alternatively, you can use your Twitter account to make comments. Include the tag “#CRLGroup16” in your tweets and they will automatically appear in the live blog.

The more times you post blog entries, the better your chances of winning these fantastic prizes. More details on how to join the live blog are available at www.edenmagnet.com.au, or call Ben Smyth on 6492 1177 during work hours if you need some pointers.
