The valiant Eden Tigers have been eliminated from the finals by a rampaging Roosters outfit in both the under 18s and the first grade divisions.
However, the mighty Tigers caused a massive upset in the reserve grade with a stunning win over the Moruya Sharks.
The under 18s looked the part in the first half, opening up a 16-point lead on their Roosters rivals.
However, the Bega outfit narrowed the gap before the half time break.
During the break the Roosters must have had a very good talk about their game plan as the Tigers were overwhelmed by try-after-try in the second half.
The Roosters outfit dominated the second half, running out a dominant 40-20 win.
Meanwhile in the first grade the Tigers mounted every assault they could muster on the Bega line, but the Roosters’ defence was indomitable.
In the 80 minutes Eden could only eek out two tries while Bega laid the points on thick.
Strong runs from captain Greg Nicholson, Ian Smith and a solid kicking performance from Matt Creswick did not deter a rampaging Bega outfit.
The Roosters took home to honours 34-10.
It was the reserves that brought home the bacon for the Tigers after an emphatic win over the Moruya Sharks in the reserve grade.
