The warm hearted ladies who meet to make rugs for the needy are ready to wrap things up and showcase their colourful hand knitted work.
The combined handiwork of Eden’s knitters has created around 1750 squares to make 62 rugs.
The informal group began meeting at the Eden library in May and have travelled to Bombala and Wyndham to knit with other ladies.
As a community Eden has knitted rugs for the needy for almost five years.
“I’ll tell you what they’re definitely warm,“ knitter June Whalley said.
An exhibition of finished handmade rugs is set for Friday, August 9 at the Eden library from 10am to 4pm.
Their efforts are for ‘Wrap With Love,’ a non-profit organisation incorporated with the Department of Fair Trading, NSW.
Any ladies with squares are urged to hand them in so they can be knitted into rugs in time for distribution.
