Newly opened local produce store and cafe, Sprout Eden, got the thumbs up from locavore royalty Costa Georgiadis of Gardening Australia on Thursday.
Proprietor Karen Lott said she had just bought a camera for the shop and was astonished when she saw Costa walk in.
“We looked at each other and couldn’t quite believe our eyes,” she said.
“He was really excited about the shop and said he’d had a lovely time down at Snug Cove too.”
Costa, on holidays with family at Tathra, had been on the hunt for Eden Smokehouse’s award-winning smoked seafood.
His holistic approach to gardening, food and nature’s seasons has made him a popular television host.
