A 47-year-old man has been charged with high range PCA and unlicensed driving after the vehicle he was driving was stopped by police on Kiah Hall Road at 8.30pm last Friday.
The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.
He was arrested and taken to Eden Police Station where he returned a breath analysis result of 0.185.
Checks by police revealed that the man has never held a driver’s licence. The man will appear at Eden Local Court on December 9.
A 20-year-old Kiah man has been charged with middle range PCA after the vehicle he was driving was stopped by police in Main Street, Merimbula, at 2.07am on Sunday, November 1.
He was arrested and taken to Merimbula police station where he returned a breath analysis result of 0.080.
The man will appear at Bega Local Court on November 24.
A 48-year-old Sanctuary Point man suffered serious spinal injuries after he was involved in a quad bike accident at Towamba on Sunday.
The rider was wearing a helmet, however the chin strap was undone and the helmet came off when the accident occurred.
The man was conveyed to Canberra Hospital by Southcare and at this stage his injuries are not considered life threatening.
An 18-year-old Merimbula woman suffered serious injuries following a jet ski accident at the Merimbula Bar on Friday.
The woman was thrown from the vessel and became unconscious for a short time in the water before being rescued by surfers.
Ambulance were in attendance and the woman was taken to Canberra Hospital by Southcare.
