Police are investigating after a woman was shot at a party on the state’s Far South Coast on Sunday morning.
Just after midnight (Sunday 5 February 2012), police and emergency services were called to a property south of Eden, following reports a woman had been injured at a party.
Police from Far South Coast Local Area Command arrived and found a 47-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her back.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics took the woman to Bega Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
A crime scene was established and will be examined by specialist forensic officers.
Local detectives have spoken with a number of witnesses and are continuing their inquiries.
