Accident causes Princes Hwy delays

29 Oct, 2009 09:16 AM
Two cars collided near the Khandallah Road turn off and the Princes Highway on Monday afternoon causing delays for southbound traffic.

The accident involved an Eden woman and a southbound Sydney couple.

Anne Comery and Marie Camden of Wonboyn were heading south after the Eden Day View Clubs 18th birthday when they came across the accident.

After helping the passengers move to her own car, Mrs Comery set up a high visibility road sign which she has in her car for use when changing tyres and proceeded to direct traffic around the Sydney couple’s car which had stalled in the centre of the southbound lane.

King Brothers Smash repairs arrived on the scene, followed by ambulance paramedics and Eden police.

The male driver suffered injuries to his shoulder and his female passenger sustained ankle injuries.

The couple said they were staying in Eden to go whale watching and visit the Eden Killer Whale Museum.
